Dans un grand cartouche central entouré on trouve le portrait et les armes d'un noble personnage "Lehner" (?) et la date de la reliure. Charnières fendillées, coiffes usées, les liens d'attaches en laiton manquent, coupes usées surtout au deuxième plat.

(cm. 16,2) Legatura bella Piena Pergamena originale, titolo calligr, al dorso; cc. 4 nn., pp. 150, cc. 2 bianche. Graziosa xilografia al frontis con quattro personaggi a tavola. Piccolo vecchio restauro all'ultima carta, senza danno al testo, altrimenti semplare molto bello, nitido e genuino. Opera curiosa sulla sorte e fortuna degli uomini riguardo virtù, caso, prudenza, gioco, astronomia, forza etc. Per le prime due edizioni del 1547 e 1550, v. Tinto "Annali del Tramezzino" n. 63 e 104. Questa nostra è la terza rara edizione ampiamente descritta in Passano "Novellieri in prosa" I, pag. 333. Manca a molta bibliografia consultata, come Gamba, Dura, Choix, Poggliali, Graesse, Adams, BM STC. Il census ICCU registra solo 5 copie nelle biblioteche italiane e la considera stampata nel 1554 circa. - Passano I, 333.
